Connecting your laptop to the network, I will describe how to do this on the Mac first since it is the easiest of them all.  First you must make sure your cell phone (bluetooth capable) is paired with your Mac.  Open up Internet Connection window.  Under Bluetooth make sure the number is *99***4# I have found 4 the best of all of the ones out there, but there are also 1 2 and 3, just change the 4 to the number you wish to use.  The username and password just leave blank.  Now you are setup up and all you need to do is connect.  For future connections you can just (if you have the internet connection displayed on the menu bar) make sure that it is set to bluetooth connection and click connect.

To connect your windows box the steps are not as fun.  First again make sure the computer and the phone are paired.  Make sure you have the latest wincomm software.  Next open up the "My Bluetooth Places" and  have it show the folders view on the right left side you will see "Entire Bluetooth Neighborhood" in there find your phone.  Now Double Click the "Dial-up Networking"  Now enter the phone number ( *99#***4#).  I have tried to make a shortcut to this on my desktop or even in the Network connections area, but they never seam to point to the cell phone, so you will have to go though the whole thing each time you wish to connect to the internet.

To connect using a palm pilot (this is known to work on the Tungsten T, T2, and T3), make sure you have the latest update to Phone Link.  Click on the Phone link Icon and follow the instructions select your phone make, model, provider and other stuff it asks for.  Now the next time you run the program you will get the option to connect, or if you start to use a network app it will connect automatically for you.
